KPRC researchers, in collaboration with scientist with Honeywell, NIST and Argonne National Laboratory, have recently published results of their work on the morphology of thermoplastic polyurethanes using isosorbide as a chain extender. As the properties of TPUs are inherently dependent upon the distribution and structure of their hand and soft segments, the micro structural morphologies of the materials provide insight into the structure / property relationships of these valuable materials.
